Dr. Mahmoud Bala Alfa was born on September 17, 1980, in Kaduna City, Kaduna State, into a culturally diverse and intellectually active environment. Growing up in northern Nigeria, he developed a deep curiosity for learning, discipline, and a strong respect for public service and national development.
He is the son of Halima Ikwuji Alfa and Muhammed Alfa and hails from Okenyi in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State. His connection to his roots continues to shape his values, leadership style, and commitment to inclusive and accountable governance.
Since 2018, Dr. Alfa has served as Adjunct Professor of International Economic Relations at Baze University, Abuja. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in international trade, foreign direct investment, and economic development. He supervises research projects, publishes academic work, and mentors students, preparing the next generation of leaders.
Dr. Alfa believes in transparent, inclusive, and accountable leadership. His work is guided by the principles of integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to community development. Every project, policy, or initiative reflects his dedication to building sustainable and practical solutions for the people of Kogi East and beyond.
